Hi! My name is Alyssa Godwin. I’m a senior (last semester, yay!) double-majoring in English and History. I first began my journey at San Diego State by completing most of my English degree (except for this singular course, actually) before transitioning to my History major. I focus primarily on women’s and gender history, World War II, and the French Revolution. If not in the library or the cafes scattered around campus, you can probably find me on the fifth floor of Arts and Letters. I work extremely closely with the history department as a tutor, grader, and member of various historical honor societies (yay, history!). Some fun facts about me, in case we ever find ourselves in an individual trivia scenario, are that I love Studio Ghibli productions, pit bull rescue/fostering, and my favorite book of all time is Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. I will very passionately die on the Louisa May Alcott fan club hill. I’m so excited to begin this course with all of you and dive deep into this novel!
